We offer a range of products for the agricultural sector.
Our products improve soil quality and help to correct or maintain pH levels by supplying calcium to plants.
In this way, the use of soil resources and fertilizers is improved, enabling plants to draw on the minerals they need for growth.

Soil acidity, a natural condition often aggravated by man, is the cause of average or even poor yields.

Basic, calcium and magnesium-based soil improvers correct low pH and act physically, chemically and biologically.

  • Soil structure is improved, facilitating plant emergence and rooting.
  • Biological activity intensifies, releasing fertilizing elements.
  • NPK fertilizers are better used and valorized.
  • Toxic elements and trace metals, harmful to plants, animals and humans, are blocked and therefore not assimilated by plants.
  • Mineralization is optimized and organic matter recycled.

Provençale offers two product lines:

  • CALIAGRI raw products for use in organic farming
  • CALIACHO calcium and magnesium blends, raw and cooked, mixed products.

These products are available in 600kg and 1000kg big bags, as well as in bulk.

The CALIAGRI range can be used in organic farming in accordance with EU regulation no. 848/2018.

To extend our range, we also offer quicklime and natural zeolite. natural zeolite.

Liming is necessary to raise a pH that is too low or too acidic, and to restructure the soil biologically, chemically and physically.

There are 2 types of liming calcium amendment:

Liming for recovery
To correct a low pH and restructure depleted soil, liming with a calcium amendment, followed for 3 to 4 years on the same plots, can bring about a fairly rapid correction. This is known as corrective liming. Recommended doses range from 1T500/1T800 to 2T and more/ha. The visual results will not be long in coming: on a meadow, for example, denser, greener grass will be richer in nutrients and will improve milk yield for better-quality milk.

Maintenance liming
To maintain this corrected pH, we need to maintain the soil every year by liming with a calcium amendment, rotating the plots every other year. This is known as maintenance liming, and is carried out at lower doses. (1T200 to 1T500 /ha). Lower NPK fertilizer inputs are valorized. Harmful trace elements are blocked out, ensuring higher plant yields and better quality.

It is therefore necessary to limestone the soil with an annual calcium amendment, either to correct the pH or to maintain it.

To carry out this liming of calcium amendment, we offer a spreading service, in partnership with several agricultural contractors.

The spreader is followed by a buffer tank, which is used to receive the calcium fertilizer so that the transporter doesn’t have to wait. So if a spreading operation has to be stopped because of wind or rain, the lime amendment is stored under cover until the work resumes.

A calcium amendment spreading site can be set up for 250T or more, less if the spreading company is close to the site.

Our secretariat in Pouzilhac takes care of the logistics and, in agreement with the spreader, arranges delivery to the pre-defined addresses, days and times. The farmer is in the picture, and the trader doesn’t have to worry about a thing. Everything is done from our Pouzilhac plant.

We work with several transport companies, depending on the region. These transporters are familiar with the constraints of liming organization, and with calcium-based soil improvers, and therefore respect schedules and availability.
All our raw calcium-based soil improvers and mixes are manufactured and produced at our Pouzilhac site in the Gard department (30), close to the main roads in the Rhone valley, an ISO 9001-certified site.
